Open Lab

Open Lab is offered for two age groups: Tiny Scientists (3-5 years old) and scientists 6+ years old. This is a time when Urban STEAM Lab is open to the community for drop-in science. Each week stations are set up around the room for both independent and group-guided learning. During Open Lab hours, the instructor will describe the goals of each projects and ask open-ended questions to help focus our scientists’ thinking around scientific topics.

Registration is now required. At least 3 kiddos must be registered to run the class.

Open Lab: Tiny Scientists (ages 3-5)

Let your preschooler explore their senses! Age-appropriate activities and experiments are set up at different stations around the lab, so your tiny tinkerer can make a mess, learn, and play with the help of an adult in a stress-free environment. Drop-off is not available for this age group. This class is in caregiver-and-me format. $20/scientist.
